Resilience

Rooted in his personal journey and the founding of Resilience, Inc, John emphasizes building mental and emotional strength to tackle life’s challenges and address society’s problems at their core.

Service

As the son of a soldier and a father, John’s guiding principle is serving others, whether through community leadership, education, or public office. His campaign is about listening and representing the real needs of Florida families.

Fairness

John believes in protecting seniors from outdated taxes, ensuring affordability for families, and holding corporations accountable. His vision is built on fairness across generations and communities.

History & Roots

John Fay’s story begins at Fort Devens Army Base in Massachusetts, where he was born into a military family. As the son of a U.S. soldier, John’s childhood was defined by frequent moves. Every three years, his family packed up and started fresh in a new place. From Germany to Wisconsin to towns outside Boston, these experiences taught him adaptability, resilience, and the importance of community wherever you go.

Growing up in a military household instilled discipline and service as core values. John saw firsthand the sacrifices his father made and the strength it took to build a life around duty. Those lessons stayed with him, shaping his belief that service to others is the highest calling.

The Journey to Leadership

When John pursued his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science at the University of Massachusetts in Boston, he was inspired by the legacy of leaders from his home state, President John Adams and President John F. Kennedy. Their vision of public service and courage in leadership sparked his own conviction that one day he, too, would answer the call to serve in public office.

But John also knew that leadership requires wisdom earned through life experience. He chose to wait, building a career, raising a family, and founding Resilience, Inc before stepping into politics. Those decades of growth gave him the perspective and strength he now brings to his campaign. He aspires to serve just as Congresswoman Kathy Castor does.

The Impact of Resilience, Inc

John Fay launched Resilience, Inc with a clear mission: to tackle the root causes of school shootings, domestic violence, suicide, and addiction by strengthening emotional intelligence. He believed that lasting change starts with mental and emotional resilience, and he built a curriculum to make that happen.

Under his leadership, the organization grew from a small team into a national force, reaching 9+ countries, 30+ states and 70+ school districts with a curriculum that equips students and adults with tools for self‑control, relationship management, and goal setting. He also launched innovative programs like SELENA VR, a virtual reality experience designed to help users overcome fear and anxiety, proving that emotional intelligence can be taught in new and engaging ways. But Resilience, Inc was more than a curriculum, it was a platform for people. Over the years, John provided internships and hands‑on experience to more than 2,000 college students and career changers, giving them the skills and confidence to succeed in their early careers. By investing in the next generation, he created a pipeline of resilient leaders ready to make a difference in their communities. Through Resilience, Inc, John Fay showed that leadership is not only about vision, but about empowering others to grow, thrive, and carry forward the mission of building “A Better Way.”

Vision for A Better Way

For John, “A Better Way” means building stronger communities by addressing the mental and emotional challenges that fuel crime, homelessness, and addiction, while also standing up for fairness in the economy.

He knows the people of Florida are burdened by rising costs, from groceries to rent, healthcare to insurance. John believes food is a matter of national security, and that price gouging by corporations must end. He will fight to protect seniors from unfair taxes, ensure families can afford the basics, and push for policies that make healthcare and housing more accessible. His vision is a Florida where families are secure, children are safe, and every citizen has the opportunity to thrive. John Fay is running to serve, to listen, and to deliver practical solutions that reflect the values of resilience, decency, and strength.
